What I Shoot.

I’m Jacob Fara, a photographer and media creator based in the Hunter. I’ve spent the past few years shooting sport, events and commercial work, learning to capture the action as well as the moments around it. I work with teams, artists and businesses to create photos and content that show what they do at their best.

  • With experience shooting the NBL, WNBL, NBL1, and NEWRL for elite teams and media outlets, I capture the energy and character of the game, from the build-up and behind-the-scenes moments to the action itself. Coverage includes matches, athlete portraits, media days and content for your club, sponsors and social channels.

  • From presentation nights and sponsor events to season launches and awards, I capture the people and moments that matter to your organisation. Coverage includes speakers, presentations, candid interactions, venue details and group photos, giving you images to share with your community, partners and sponsors.

  • I create images for businesses, brands and creatives to use across websites, campaigns and social media. Whether you need product photography, images of your team at work or content for a launch, we can plan the shoot around what you want to show and where the images will appear.

  • Have a car, concert, a portrait idea or a creative project in mind? I’m always interested in shoots that sit outside the usual categories. Tell me what you’re planning, and we can work out the location, look and images you need.

Behind the Camera

I’m Jacob Fara, a photographer and media creator based in the Hunter. My work has taken me from local comp games, to the highest level of Australian basketball, working with teams and media outlets to capture the moments as they happen.

I’m also a university student, building Jacob Fara Photography alongside my studies. I enjoy getting to know the people behind each team, event or business and understanding what they want their images to show. That’s what keeps me excited to take on new projects, both in sport and beyond it.

Whether I’m covering a season launch, creating images for a business or taking on something entirely different, I start by understanding what matters to you. I want to deliver photographs that feel right for the project and that you’re excited to use and share.
